My Cute Amigurumi Army: Crocheted Finger Puppets!

I designed these amigurumi finger puppets recently. I adored them so much that I had to make an army of them! Don’t be afraid, they will not destroy the world, they will spread sweetness anywhere they go!

I finally listed them in my Etsy shop today!

Setting up a new shop

Ok, everyone knows that finally I opened my first shop and it’s for my handmade amigurumi (crochet) toys. I must be crazy after all that chaos but yep! Here I am thinking, planning, searching, working on a new shop and it’s about my jewelry this time!

Untill last week, I only had difficulties with photographing my pieces. Since the first shop was about crochet toys I didn’t have much trouble about the “Descriptions” part. But, when I began to my preparations about jewelry shop I had series of cramps with the descriptions.

I red a lot about online shops and I know that measurements differ from U.S. to Europe. So I used online conversion websites to indicate them and it was easy for the toys. You need to tell the lenght in both inches and metric system and the visitors get the idea about the toy.

When it comes to jewelry pieces which consist of different sized small materials it’s hard for someone to visualize the piece even when you give the lenght.

Considering this, I began to write a description text for each of my jewelry pieces and guess what, I found myself measuring 0.9mm (0.6″) beads like a crazy person!!! The text became an undecipherable thing full of brackets and chaos won.

Of course I’m gonna give detailed measurements in both systems about general dimensions but I don’t want to measure every tiny bead in a necklace!

Then, I started thinking about alternatives. I noticed that a lot of sellers use coins to indicate measures and give a sense of dimension in their photos. But I eliminated coin way right away because honestly I don’t know how big or small is a nickel or other coins. I think that it can only work locally. I bought a metal ruler last year, indicates both inch and cm. I thought about using it but even if it’s not very long it might not be a very good idea for every item.

Thinking about a commonly used item in most of the world I found one: Batteries! At least I know that it is used in U.S. and in Europe and for other countries I’ ll just have to wait for feedbacks.

I’m gonna do some trial shots with AA batteries, the most used size (thinner ones are called AAA).

NenoBebo Etsy Shop, Finally…

Huh! I have to admit that crocheting amigurumi toys is easier than taking photos, organizing, setting up every little detail (and my friend they’re endless) and other big or tiny things to do for opening the shop. I like to do things all by myself, but it’s exhausting and hurts my eyes!

I wish I had some feedback, but I hope I’ll gain them soon! Also I’m not sure about the banner that I chose, I like graphic effected banners too.
